Right, a bit late today, so no preamble and straight into the weekend’s events ahead, taken from the newly revamped Mother City Living What’s On Calendar.
Olive Tree Book Launch
Carol Drinkwater the bestselling author of: The Olive Farm, The Olive Season, The Olive Harvest and the Olive Route will be talking about her latest book The Olive Tree celebrating the cultural heritage of this sacred tree. It is a story about the olive told through the people involved in its farming.
Kloovenburg Spring Market Day
This is definitely where I’ll be headed – a seasonal harvest market in the great outdoors of the lovely Riebeek Valley. I haven’t been before, but I’ve heard good things, and it is supposed to showcase the ‘finest fresh produce from the Valley and Surrounds’.
Kloovenburg will also be showcasing their wines, and will be offering light meals and wine by the glass.
Stellenbosch Fresh Goods Market
It looks like decent weather for Saturday (fingers crossed), which makes it a perfect day for heading out to Stellenbosch and checking out the Stellenbosch Fresh Goods Market in its new, more outdoorsy location at Oude Libertas.
Grab some excellent food and glass of local bubbly and annex a piece of lawn. It’s a fantastic way to pass the hours…
Farmhouse Rocks: 7th Son
Summer must be on its way – the Cape Farmhouse has started its new season of Farmhouse Rocks, showcasing local talent every Saturday evening. Grab some drinks and snacks and listen to the sounds of 7th Son.
