Every year Kirstenbosch hosts a Biodiversity Expo, highlighting the ongoing work that is being done to preserve biodiversity in this country. It's really exciting to see how many dedicated people there are out there, working so hard to make sure we don't lose our precious eco-systems and plant and animal species. And, since 2010 is the International Year of Biodiversity and Conservation, it's bound to be an extra-special display. more
Kirstenbosch Garden Fair 2010
This annual fundraising event supports Kirstenbosch development projects and is a showcase for South Africa’s indigenous flora especially grown to offer gardeners a unique opportunity to acquire a wide range (some 500+ species) of trees, Proteas, shrubs, Buchus, herbaceous perennials, succulents, Ericas, Restios, bulbs, Cycads, etc. and other rare and unusual plants for collectors. more

The Craft Market takes place on the last Sunday of the month, except for closing in June, July and August (winter) and in December when the market takes place on two Sundays. Hours are from 9 am to 3 pm, and entrance is free. more
