Well, it looks like I won’t get to have my way and visit the Neighbour Goods Market on a Sunday instead of the rather busy (and parking-nightmare-esque) Saturday version.
Seems the decision to extend the market to include Sundays was short-lived, and we’re once again back to Saturdays only.
Perhaps the Sunday events weren’t as well attended as they’d hoped? Whatever the case may be, according to the market’s website, “the Sunday Markets were for December only and will not continue into 2008.”
Ah well, guess I’ll just have to gird my suburb-dwelling loins and brave the traffic jams after all (or, and this is far more likely, I’ll end up getting my organic fix at the Porter Estate Produce Market instead).
The Neighbourgoods Market is held every Saturday (9.00am – 2.00pm) at the Old Biscuit Mill in Woodstock, 373 – 375 Albert Rd (Lower Main Rd.) Woodstock, Cape Town. Directions here. The Porter Estate Produce Market is open every Saturday morning between 9am and 1pm (weather-permitting). Directions here.
