The annual Kalk Bay Fish Fare is coming up next weekend. It’s a fun event, if a bit crowded… and the food is quite varied (had great sushi there last year). The weirdest, quirkiest thing about it all, though, is the unexpected vision of families picnicking amongst the gravestones next door to the church.

Dine in the old Cape Tradition. The 24th Annual Kalk Bay Fish Fare will take place on the 27TH February 2010 from 10.30am to 6.00pm. Enjoy fresh sea foods such as Crayfish Curry, Braaied Yellowtail, Fried fish and chips and Calamari, a variety of Seafood curries, Seafood Potjie. Homemade Fish Cakes, a selection of delights from the Deli such as Mussels, Fresh Oysters, Calamari Salad, Salmon treats, Sushi and more cooked while you wait. Enjoy a homemade desserts and ice cream after the main course.
A Band the Sans of Time will entertain while you relax in the beautiful garden where Beer, Wine, Cold drinks and Tea and Cake will be served. There is also a second hand book stall, bric n brac and fun games for the children. All profits are to support the historical church site restoration and assistance to other Anglican Churches in the Diocese. Don’t miss out on this Cape Town event. No booking required.
