I hear tell of a small French market held at Alliance Francaise (155 Loop St) on Wednesday mornings… a market that sells “genuine imported French cheeses, traditional breads, foie gras, rillettes, terrines and pâtés, chestnuts, vinegars and other condiments.”
Not so sure about the foie gras, and in general I try to stick to local products, but on occasion there’s nothing quite like real French food, now is there? I don’t know if this is something that’s been happening for a long time, and I haven’t been myself (yet) so I’m not certain how large it is, but from what I glean the guys who run this market also have a stall at the Neighbourgoods Market on Saturdays.
Anyway, for those of you with a penchant for French foods, this market is apparently on every Wednesday morning from 9am to midday until (and including) the 15th of December 2010. on every Friday morning from 9am until midday.
PS Alliance Francaise will be holding a special Christmas Market on Wednesday the 1st of December, in addition to the usual French Market.

I would like to inquire about setting up a staff at your french market for my products. Sojourney diary, Garden guide and Planting calender as well as a crystal calender.
Kind regards

Sorry I saw the error on my last email to late. I meant I would like to set up a stall. Not a staff.
My appologies
Hi Isabelle
Thank you for your interest in the Franch Market@The Alliance Francaise. At present the Market is solely for French food products. Once a year at Christmas time the Alliance Francaise has a Christmas market when all stall holders are welcome. Please contact the Alliance in November for details of this market.
