Foodbarn Cookery Theatre: free cooking demos by Franck Dangereux himself!

foodbarnI rather like the sound of this… a new food experience at acclaimed chef Franck Dangereux’s justly famous Foodbarn Restaurant in Noordhoek:  the Foodbarn Cookery Theatre.

From this coming Thursday (14th May), the man himself will cook ‘live’ in the restaurant (every Tuesday and Thursday), sharing his ideas and passion for food, demystifying fine dining and giving onlookers a chance to discuss the ins and outs of making food and serving wine.

And it doesn’t cost you anything extra – each cooking demonstration is free with your lunch booking.  What an awesome concept!

Each week’s demo will start at 11h30 and finish by around 12h30, whereafter hungry patrons get to tuck in… And, apparently, the Foodbarn’s winter bistro special (R175 for three course including a carafe of wine) also kicks in on Thursday, giving you the best possible value for money.

Venue details:
The Foodbarn Restaurant & Deli is located in Noordhoek Farm Village, Village Lane, Noordhoek. Telephone: +27 (0)21 789 1390. www.thefoodbarn.co.za
