These festivities, organised by Jörg Pfützner of Fine Wine Events, aim to manifest in the minds of Sauvignon Blanc drinkers, its food compatibility as well as uncovering how South Africa truly fairs in the international context of Sauvignon Blanc. To do so, producers from the Loire and New Zealand have been to invited give our guests a chance to compare wines.

Local and regional producers
Aylesford ‘Constantia Fresh’ Sauvignon Blanc Festival features a total of four palate-stimulating events taking place on the 26th and 27th February 2010 which is possible thanks to the support of the participating Constantia producers namely Constantia Uitsig, Klein Constantia, Groot Constantia, Steenberg, Eagle’s Nest, Buitenverwachting and Constantia Glen.

Pfützner has also extended the invitation to the top Sauvignon Blanc producers in Elgin, Durbanville, Stellenbosch, Hemel en Aarde, Cederberg, Robertson and the Cape Point to complete the regional attraction of the two day festivities in the same vein as the Riesling Festival’s food and wine pairing exhibition which was held in Cape Town in February 2009.
