Cape Town Events Calendar

A collation of any events in and around Cape Town that have made it on to the Mother City Living radar – usually with an emphasis on things organic, food and wine, craft markets or outdoor expeditions. This isn’t a gig guide – it’s more of a good living guide, or something along those lines…

Listing an event on the calendar is free so if you have an event you’d like listed, you’re welcome to submit it here. Give us some details and if it fits with the ethos of MCL (eg green-, slow-, food-related) , it’ll be added to the calendar.

If you’d like a little more exposure for your event – that can also be arranged!

Theewaterskloof Moonlight Market-Event Details

Close
6:00 pm10:00 pm

The Moonlight Market started in 2008. It happens on the first Friday of every month from October to April (Weather Permitting). It was created for local producers, wineries and crafts people to show and sell their goods.

There are various tables, straw bales and seats set around a roaring fire, live music, and the still waters of the Theewaterskloof Dam provide an atmospheric backdrop. The aromas of freshly prepared foods such as pizza, German sausages, Sushi, hamburgers, pancakes, Indian food, and much more fill the air and entice hungry visitors. The local wine producers offer wine tastings and the purchasing of their wine by the glass, bottle, or case. The bar is stocked with various local beers, larger, and soft drinks. All this creates quite a party feel!

Children are well looked after too, with a bouncy castle, play area, face painting and much more! The market opens at 6pm with a R10.00 entrance fee per adult. Children under the age of 16 enter for free. Please come and join us for a wonderful evening for the whole family! We look forward to seeing you!

Moonlight Market Dates 2011/ 2012:
7th October, 4th November & 2nd December 2011 & 6th January, 3rd February, 2nd March & 6th April 2012

Theewaterskloof Moonlight Market-Event Details
