Cape Town Winter Specials

Inspired by the onset of autumn, this page is for all the fabulous winter specials in Cape Town: the ones that make the long expensive tourist-ridden summer almost bearable for us locals…

From special winter menus at the Harbour House, to discounted rates at wonderful places like Monkey Valley – I want to list them all!

I’ve split these Winter specials into the following groups:

Kids ‘R King Winter promotion.

  • Cape Point: kids up to 17 years old get a free Flying Dutchman Funicular ride. (Maximum for two children when accompanied by one paying adult), yummy grub at the Two Oceans Restaurant when a kids fish ‘n chips comes free with any main meal purchased. meal (max. one child per adult),
  • Table Mountain Cableway: two kids travel free with every full paying adult,
  • Robben Island Museum: ticket prices reduced to only R50 for children under 18 years for the duration of the holidays
  • V&A Waterfront: Two children (under 13 years) can enjoy a 30 minute harbour cruise when accompanied by a full paying adult,
  • Kirstenbosch: Children (under 18yrs) will have free entrance for the duration of the school holidays and
  • Constantia Vineyards: kids can enjoy a colouring-in competition at Groot Constantia and get a free packet of sweets when finished.
