One of my favourite ways to dodge the drudgery of supermarket aisles and shopping malls is to head for any one (or more) of the local markets that take place regularly around the Mother City…
Whether it’s hand-made craft, or freshly plucked farmers’ produce, it’s a danged sight better (in my opinion) than most things one finds in the bigger stores.
Heck, you can even find seemingly mundane items like cleaning products at markets, these days – and they’re very often eco-friendly to boot. Plus, being generally outdoors in nature, you get a good dose of fresh air into the bargain.
So, ditch the mall and head for your local market instead – believe me, it’s way more fun!
