Buying green electricity in Cape Town

Thinking about buying ‘green’ electricity?  Well, being somewhat limited in supply (there’s only so much the Darling Wind Farm can produce at a time), there isn’t enough for all of us, and people are having to bid for the privilege.

But, if you’re ‘in good financial standing with the City’ and want a big ol’ chunk of the stuff, you might just get your shiny Green Electricity Certificate if you ask nicely.

It won’t save you from power cuts, or exempt you from load-shedding, it seems, but ah the warm fuzzy feeling of being green ought to be worth it, don’t ya think?
